Comfortably Numb

Pain or pleasure. Those are the primary motivators for most folks. We do things either to achieve pleasure or avoid pain. When you find that you're consistently accepting pain from your work or simply embrace that it just won't ever be pleasurable, you have become ... comfortably numb.

It's often that I find people having great difficulty discovering their passions, that work that gives them true pleasure. I believe it's partially due because, from our youth, we're not mentored to truly know ourselves, identify our passions and pursue our ideal life. Solomon wrote, "Train up a child in the way he should go (and in keeping with his individual gift or bent), and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6; Amplified Bible)

Coaches help their clients embrace their recurring dreams, rediscover their passion for life ... and live out what they truly want to accomplish.  I encourage you to become uncomfortable with mediocrity.
