This past week I received this email from a 'The Chuck Bowen Show' listener:
"I need to increase my income and am interested in a home business. The TV and radio are bombarded with ads for home businesses. Homebiz8.com was advertised on your program today. What do these businesses do and which ones are the best to get involved in for the long haul?" ~ Bill
First Bill, please know that I don't actively promote potentially "too good to be true" home-based business, since they are often just that. The ad placement during my show was a station decision, not mine. Most are MLM (multi-level marketing) opportunities where you will need to identify potential consumers of your product, and persuade them to either buy your product and/or join your organization with the intention of persuading others to do the same. Many of them could be a good fit for you, if you're comfortable with networking and selling. (read more in my article "Is a Network / Multi-level Marketing Business Right for You?")
If you're considering a home business ... just get started small working from home. Do something you're drawn to and that fits your personality and skillset. Make adjustments as you go along to improve your profitability. And, don't expect instant big money, because success most often takes time, work, experience and persistence. It's like picking out a coat -- you may need to try on a few before you find the one that fits you just right.
