"If you don't know where you're going, any path will do".
I find this line from "Alice in Wonderland" applies to many people I meet daily. They feel underwhelmed with their lives, steadily trudging down a path to a mediocre future (at best). Career expert Dan Miller ("48 Days to the Work You Love") offers "A clear sense of purpose will provide a feeling of continuity and contentment to carry you through those inevitable changes. Developing a clear focus leads to confidence, boldness, and enthusiasm in living out that focus.
Balance is also crucial to a fulfilling life, one where you're regularly filling each "tank" in seven life areas ... and not running on empty. Those seven tanks are: Social, Spirituality, Family, Career, Personal Development, Financial and Physical. You may find yourself focusing on one or more of the areas right now at the expense of the others. However, you can't justify filling one tank while running on empty in another.
Eventually, you'll need to switch over to another tank ... and find it on E (when you really need it). Make the decision right now to thrive in all seven areas.
