“The First Rule of Holes: When you're in one, stop diggin'." ~ Will Rogers We learn by reflecting. Looking backward. Observing what's in our rear view mirror. History teaches powerful lessons.
If looking back and learning was enough, we'd never make the same mistake twice. But, we don't. So what's the missing ingredient?
We win with wisdom, applying what we learn. Wisdom = Knowledge + Action. The key is in tweaking your gameplan to recover your advantage. Super Bowl coaches win by making effective halftime adjustments. Boxers win by counter-punching to their opponent's weakness. Adjustments win battles that win wars.
If you're stuck in a rut at work it could be because you keep repeating your past. Ability doesn't equal Satisfaction. Focus on discovering what you were made to do, and then begin making the adjustments to go there. If you're in a hole, stop digging ... life's awastin'!
